Hello Everyone, It has been a year since Baswan Committee report released and submitted to the UPSC and it came into news again since yesterday when the government is said to be ready to accept some of the Committee Recommendations
What are Committee Recommendations?
- Reducing Age limit of 32 Years
- Removing Optionals
- Removing Ethics Paper
- Adding new Syllabus and framing of Complete 5 GS Papers
What Fake News is roaming all over?
Recently Some genius posted on farmias that all recommendations were accepted by Government and only Age limit will be not possible because of elections.
Yes, Everything that is roaming all over the internet is fake and its completely waste of precious time of aspirants.
Why?
Because, Government is likely to accept some or all of the recommendations but its not a leaked information as it is completely confidential and no Intel can get that classified information until UPSC makes some notification.
According to Hindu which published yesterday, Key changes likely in Civil Services exam
As it is clearly mentioned that government decision is yet to be taken.
What Recommendations have possibility of coming into reality?
According to the Survey taken by Baswan Committee in 2016, Most of the aspirants Voted against Optional as this the main thing where most of the students can’t achieve the bright spot and most of the students feel that optionals are creating inequality in the open Competition.
So, This year or next year there are high chances of removing Optional Subjects which will be best for everyone, according to me.
and secondly, Age limit may be reduced to 28 or 30 from current 32 which is not a big deal for early comers into UPSC and for seniors, Sorry about that and may god help you in this.
Finally, UPSC may remove it or not, Don’t live in assumptions and expectations, UPSC is not for Dreamers, It is for Achievers. Keep this in mind and focus on your optional. Why because u never loss anything by preparing your optional but, if u leave the optional hoping UPSC to remove it, You loss everything.
Don’t Waste your time in discussing. According to some sources, there will be not change on the pattern in coming attempt 2018 and also in 2019 but we have to wait for notification to come out and soon, UPSC will Clarify Whether this reforms are for 2018 or 2019 or for 2020 attempt.
All the best
Upsc board should remove optional subjects, and age limit comes on 28.
age limit 40 is better
Then.. Most of the IAS will be working with Walking Sticks and Magnifying glasses
thank u for the information
